Isn't that print great? I love thrift stores for sourcing buttons and embellishments. Thinking of a snap closure panel on a bag or book cover. Maybe with the cute little pocket (don't know if you can make it out here) incorporated somehow too.
Yep, because it's not just the supplies and materials themselves, right? Then you have all the scraps and bits and bobs you mean to repurpose, unfinished projects, failed or useless projects you can't let go of for whatever reason, etc. I'm drowning in it. But I did fill two full garbage bags today, so baby steps.
I would love to see some of your crafty stuff as well!!
I will try and get around to uploading some this week. Its a bit more folky than your beautiful clothes. Mostly toy food, dolls etc for Noo, and decorations and draft excluders etc.
I have a huge pile of Noos old clothes that I want to turn into a memory blanket and bear. Plus loads of bit of my old clothes I think may be useful. It just keeps mounting up. And then there's the huge pile of stuff that goes in noos craft and junk modelling area. And whenever i get rud of stuff i obviously suddenly find a use for it.
OMG a memory blanket!! That would be an ambitious project, but no doubt a rewarding one. I adore handmade anything, and I'd be thrilled to see any of your handicraft.
I have to sew clothes for work and occasions out of necessity, so I rarely get the chance to bust free like I want to, but I've always been drawn to folky style. I have a Pinterest board for what would be my dream wardrobe if I didn't have to work. Also vintage, god I love vintage, but it's just not practical for my everyday life, although I've been known to sneak in some victory rolls on Fridays, heehee. Maybe when I retire! For now it's tailored jackets and shirts and black pants and lots of leopard print hidden on the inside. ;)
I cannot overstate what a problem this is for people who sew.
I mean, the size of the stash isn't the problem. Clearly the lack of space is the problem. If I had another spare room, my problem would be solved. Right? XD
walgesang and I were talking IRL about how we liked this post, but I notice neither of us commented. Since you're (probably) not psychic, I am here to say: We liked this post.
