sunshine-challenge Prompt 4: Green

And now we have reached my faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavorite color. Here are (really bad, sorry) pics of...
My 3 Favorite Green Things!

My favorite plant. Lamb's ear. So named because, as you may know, that's exactly what the silvery-green leaves feel like. I learned the hard way to not put it in the ground. Unless you want a yard full of lamb's ear. Which, as problems go, is not the worst to have.

My favorite garment. A safari-style jacket I made in 2018, which has gotten an absurd amount of wear. I wish I'd bought 10 yards of that fabric. It's proven to be comfortable, fadeproof, wrinkle-resistant, and indestructible. A rarity indeed. Alas, a closeout and gone forever now! (And yes, I do line literally every linable thing with leopard print.)

My favorite stuffie. Many years ago, he was in a box headed to the attic when my husband discovered and "rescued" him and made him into a character — one who is 100% mischief behind that sweet little face and will never forgive me for that attic business. Pictured here in front of a portrait my husband painted to immortalize the cute.

that special stuffed person with the wounded expression due to having been condemned to the attic
Ahhhahahaha, doesn't he look so sad? Always judging me. SMH. I'll never live it down.
I have reddish toned hair, so I wear a lot of green, too. Always on the lookout for that *perfect* green fabric (and I have the fabric stash to prove it, LOL).
You TOTALLY need a green sheep stuffie for your collection!

I admire your tackling BIG sewing projects.

Masks are NOT quick makes, from the measuring to the cutting, to the elastic/ties, to the shaping/pleating, to the actual stitching. And of course hand stitching will slow you down a bit (although I prefer it for fine work on garments).
CONGRATULATIONS on time and effort well spent! Be safe and well in your new mask. ♥

The fact that you line your clothes with leopard print is the fun part of being able to make clothes yourself!:D
